This is the fourth air fryer I've tried. Cooking for one person, mainly seafood, tofu, veggies. I tried single and double "drawer style" fryers and neither worked well for what I'm doing. The single was too small, the double was interesting but huge. I didn't care for pulling out the drawers so I tried another that offered – like this one – the ability to lift out the pan in a similar way. I stood taller and was fairly noisy but it convinced me that this option is better than the pull-out drawers.

This one is a reasonable size for its capacity. It's not real loud. The pan is large, square with rounded edges. The handle to lift it out works great. Very easy to clean (I don't put this kind of thing in the dishwasher, hand wash with soft sponge and natural detergent and it cleans easily). It has plenty of settings for me – four temps, several presets and a timer. Perfectly fine to make everything I'll need to. It feels solid and has rubber feet so doesn't move around when it shouldn't.

The only negative is that, while it doesn't blow out a lot of heat (I always use it away from any objects/walls so wouldn't be an issue anyway) and doesn't heat up the countertop underneath it, some portions of the outer shell – specifically the lower sides and the metal ring just below the clear plastic section – get VERY hot. Too hot to safely touch. Need to be very careful not to brush against it and always only touch the (ok, pretty large) button to open it. The very top can also be touched as well as the controls, of course. But everyone needs to keep away from the big parts.

Overall, I am satisfied with it and its price was inline with what I'd expect given the quality (generally good, but like most kitchen appliances these days, lots of plastic).

I wasn’t sure quite what to expect with this. My wife has been asking for an air fryer for a while now, but I really didn’t know what it was until she saw it pop up on Amazon, jabbed at the screen and… ummm… let’s say ‘requested’ that I order it (I don’t think no was an option in this case).

OK, yeah, I can see the appeal. I fry a lot of food and make a terrible mess of the kitchen, so even ignoring the health benefits of frying with less oil I can see the benefit of frying with less mess. Cleanup is about as easy as it is with our rice cooker, and the non-stick pan/bowl wipes down with no great effort. The countertops around my stove thank me now they don’t need wiping down every day.

I also like the all round viewing window. I’m not the kind of guy who likes to put something on to cook and walk away, confident that the timing will work out. I’m more of a regular checker, so the viewing window is exactly what I need. If not for that I’d be lifting the lid every 20 seconds to make sure my food hadn’t magically set on fire since I last checked.

All in all I’m very happy with this. It’s the kind of thing I can see using often enough that it won’t just sit there and take up valuable counter space (I’m looking at you, sandwich toaster), so I’m happy with my order. If I could offer one minor criticism it’s that I’d prefer to set the temperature by degrees rather than by number. It’s a little annoying when a recipe calls for me to fry something at X degrees but I can’t set the fryer to that specific temperature. I have the same issue with my electric stove and its 9 heat settings.
